Warner family papers, 1813-1912.

A collection of papers related to several members of the Warner family. The earliest pieces pertain to Ard Warner's administration of the estate of Anson Warner in 1813. An interesting piece from 1822 is a letter, written by Ephraim Warner of Bristol, Connecticut, to Ard Warner in Waterbury, Connecticut. Ephraim wrote that Chauncey Jerome (a Bristol clockmaker) would be willing to take Porter as an apprentice (there is no other mention of Porter in the collection). Much of the collection is poetry, dated in the 1830s and from Woodbury, Connecticut. A town rate list from the Southbury/Woodbury area from 1834 is also in the collection. Writs and deeds of Sherman Warner, a resident of Seymour and Waterbury, date from the 1850s. Other items are a photograph of Mrs. Ard Warner and birth announcements from Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sherman in 1908 and 1912.
